Douglas W. Wolf joined the Washington, D.C. office of the firm in 2002 after almost ten years as a staff attorney with the New Mexico Environmental Law Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. At the Law Center, Mr. Wolf's caseload included a broad range of environmental matters, including water quality, water quantity, land use, mining, clean air, hazardous waste and public lands issues. As one of the leading environmental attorneys in the state, Mr. Wolf represented a diverse group of clients including tribes, environmental organizations, and citizens. While at the Law Center, Mr. Wolf argued cases in front of the New Mexico Supreme Court and the New Mexico Court of Appeals, as well as state and federal district courts. Prior to joining the Law Center, Mr. Wolf practiced as a lawyer and lobbyist for the Natural Resources Defense Council in New York where he worked on hazardous waste and pollution prevention issues. He was also an attorney for the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, D.C., where he litigated against Exxon in a lawsuit related to the EXXON VALDEZ oil spill. Mr. Wolf clerked for the Honorable Gabrielle K. McDonald in the Southern District of Texas from 1986-1987. He received a B.A. in 1982 from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Wolf obtained his J.D. in 1986 from Columbia Law School.
