Carole A. Holley joined the firm in 2006 following her graduation from the University of Washington School o f Law. While in law school, she was a member and officer of GreenLaw, UW's environmental law society. In addition, during law school, Ms. Holley: participated actively in the Environmental Law Clinic; was an extern for the Center for International Environmental Law in Geneva, Switzerland; a research assistant for the Rural Development Institute in Seattle; and a summer law clerk for the Native American Rights Fund in Anchorage. She received her Bachelor of International Studies from the School for International Training in 1997. She is currently completing her Master of Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College, with a focus on environmental justice and tribal sovereignty.

Prior to law school, Ms. Holley worked as the environmental director for the Louden Tribal Council in Galena, Alaska. In addition to drafting solid waste codes, addressing contamination issues from former military operations and working on tribal land management; she worked with a consortium of tribes providing technical assistance on environmental and regulatory issues. In her role as environmental director, she served as an alternate on the Environmental Protection Agency's National and Regional Tribal Operations Committees providing insight to the EPA on tribal environmental matters. In addition, she participated in the National Tribal Environmental Council's Superfund Working Group.
