Michael E. Douglas (Haida) earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Michael clerked for Native American Rights Fund in Boulder, Colorado and served as treasurer for UW Law School's NALSA chapter. Michael also participated in the UW Law School's Tribal Court Criminal Defense Clinic, representing tribal members in criminal proceedings in Tulalip Tribal Court.

Michael received his B.A. with an Interdisciplinary Concentration in Law & Diversity from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University in 2003.

Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Michael clerked for Alaska Superior Court Judge Trevor N. Stephens in Ketchikan, Alaska.

Michael currently serves as Secretary on the Governing Council for the Northwest Indian Bar Association.
