David C. Mielke is the founding partner of our Albuquerque office with primary responsibilty for providing general counsel services to our tribal clients in New Mexico, and represents these clients on a wide range of matters and issues, including gaming, employment, business operations and development, land, rights-of-way, jurisdiction, water rights and water quality, environmental regulation and enforcement, contracts, tribal codes, and loans. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Mr. Mielke was a partner in the Washington, D.C. firm of Weissbrodt, Racin & Mielke, where he practiced in the areas of business and commercial law, employment law and litigation, Indian claims litigation, and Indian law.
Mr. Mielke received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Maryland in 1979 (Phi Beta Kappa). He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986. Bar and Court Admissions New Mexico, 1998; District of Columbia, 1988; Maryland, 1989; Oregon, 1986.
