Asunción Hampson-Medina (Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska) joined the firm in 2026. Before joining the firm, Mr. Hampson-Medina was an Associate at another firm in Washington D.C. working on litigation and government relations matters for tribal clients. After this position, Mr. Hampson-Medina clerked for the Hon. Sunshine S. Sykes in the Central District of California and then the Hon. Jeremy D. Peterson in the Eastern District of California.
Mr. Hampson-Medina graduated from UC Berkeley, School of law in 2023, where he served as co-president of the Native American Law Students Association, Associate Editor of the California Law Review, and Submissions Editor for the La Raza Law Journal. Mr. Hampson-Medina was also a co-chair of the Native American Legal Assistance Project.
Mr. Hampson-Medina received his B.A. in Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity from Stanford University in 2019. In his free time, Mr. Hampson-Medina enjoys traveling, playing video games, and watching Arsenal F.C. and Real Madrid C.F. games.
